How is the readability score calculated?

Our algorithm factors in the rarity of words, the length of sentences, and the complexity of words used to determine the readability score.
The readability score ranges from 0 to 100. A score of 100 indicates that the text is very easy to read, while a score of 0 implies content that might be closer theoretical physics.

What does readability indicate?

Readability is a metric that shows how easily a piece of content can be understood by the average reader. It’s more of a user experience (UX) perspective rather than an SEO consideration. This score helps you understand how your content compares to competitors in terms of clarity, so you can create a more engaging experience for your audience.

Is higher readability always better?

Not necessarily. If you’re discussing an expert-level topic, the readability may be average or even low. This doesn’t mean the content is worse; it’s tailored for a specific audience with a deep understanding of the subject matter.
